[Yeah, seriously. I mean, if Laguna feels this way... well, it's a bad sign. But that cheer returns, if only a little. Believe it or not, Laguna's really shaken up by this turn of events. Really.]
It's just like back then, I guess. Nobody knows if they'll stay or go - or survive, but we can't help but befriend them. I just hope Kain's still alive out there - he was a strange guy, but he was our ally.
But... hmm. If we don't know what will happen, there's still a chance everything works out.
[Even if he doesn't really wanna risk it. Maybe if he's dead, if he just stays here, he'll find a way to return to life.]

[She can believe he's still shaken up, but she also knows him well enough to know that the cheer is...at least partially an act. Not even Laguna can bounce back that fast.]

He had a funny way of showing it at first. [Snort. Knocking out all their allies and not telling the rest of them. Funny way to show anybody they care. But still..]

Maybe it will, maybe it won't. Won't know until it happens. But it's not like thinking about it's going to do us any good. [if shrugs were audible, one would go here.] We should just focus on what we have here for now. Deal with the rest as it comes. There's nothing else we can do about what happened back there from this world.

[She's had to convince herself of that over the past...Etro. Almost two years. Two years dead and this is the first time she's really talked about it. Feels...strange.]

He's only acting, really, because he doesn't want Wooper crying either. Primo is a bit of a crybaby, though Laguna has a soft spot for babies.]
Well, not everybody can just sit down and talk about their ideas and problems, right? He was just one of those guys.
[Normally, he'd probably give a goofy grin here, try and give a laugh - but, you know, audio and also Laguna's not feeling himself. In reality, he's sitting down even, looking just so disturbed. Light's had time to think about this, and he hasn't. It's almost like... it's almost like he's choosing his words carefully!]
Yeah, guess there's no point in worrying. But at the same time? I don't think I'll be able to settle into here for a while. Still feels like there's a lot I've got to do back home - even if I'm dead.

I guess so. [Kain...definitely wasn't a talker, that's for sure. Even she's chattier than he was.

And while she knows what Laguna means about having things to do back home, state of life be damned, she doesn't respond to that. Even now, the issue's a bit too fresh to poke at. Maybe later, when she doesn't have to explain half of what went wrong back there.]

I talked to a couple people about it. Never got this far into explaining it with them. [Leon. Hope. Love and brother. Family. Etro she misses them.] They're both gone now, so I guess I have kept it a secret. Nobody else here knows. Not even Cecil, and he was fighting with us until Kain put him down.

[Laguna is kind of losing himself in his own thoughts and worries, but he keeps the cheerful voice on. As best he can, anyhow.]

Kiros always told me I was a good listener - a good guy to hear everybody's problems. I mean, he mentioned I was really good around kids, mostly, and I'd make things worse sometimes - but if you need to talk, you know? I'll try to not vanish, Light. I've got people here who depend on me [he promised his new daughers he wouldn't leave them, after all] - and Pokemon, too!

Something like that. [She's shouldered this on her own for a long time. She's used to it. Besides, she's heard those promises before. Heard them and woke up alone or with one less person in the world. She knows better than to believe them from anyone no matter how many people and Pokemon depend on Laguna. That's just the way this world works. She's used to that, too.

Still, he doesn't have to hear that from her, so she makes a soft 'hmm' sound.]

I'll remember that. Thanks. [She may not take him up on the offer, but...he's not a bad person, really. Just a bit scattered and easily lost. She does still remember that too, after all.]

[Laguna hears the 'hmm', and he'd be frowning - luckily, he's not visible. He... he wishes he knew how to stay. He's a little worried about vanishing. He's got so many Pokemon. But, hey! Can't worry about that now! As long as he keeps on going, he'll find a way. He hopes.

But maybe Light can help him more with other things. His Pokemon do have a few issues, after all... and she's an experienced trainer... he looks to Primo, the shiny whimpering Wooper, as he speaks. ~~and now time for less srs time~~]

[People who have been here longer haven't found ways. If she knew that was Laguna's thought process, she'd wonder...but who knows. A fresh pair of eyes may solve the problems the veterans can't. They'll have to see.]
