[Morning, Johto. Enjoy your very early morning wake up call. No, seriously, it's early. The sun's not even up-early. Lightning normally sleeps through this time of day, so why is she on the network? ...Well, she's not exactly on it by choice. Her Pokemon have the gear again, and it's showing that a nurse is trying to stop a very pale and rather shaky Lightning from leaving the Center, but considering she's dressed and with a pair of Lucario's at her side, she's not going to be stopped. At all.]

Miss Farron, if you'll just calm down--

Calm down? I just spent the past six hours puking my guts out while you ran around like headless chocobos trying to fix a problem that shouldn't have happened, and you expect me to calm down? [She scoffs at that, moving to shove past, but the nurse bars her passage yet again.]

Miss Farron, the poison is still affecting your body. If you'd sit down and let us help-

[Now Lightning snarls, and it's still rather intimidating despite looking like she's going to fall at any second.]

Help? Like when you somehow didn't notice someone go into my room in the middle of the night and let this happen? I don't need your help. I can handle this myself.

[The nurse aims to protest again, but Lightning doesn't listen and she goes around, hobbling out of the Center on crutches while not looking back even as the feed shorts out with a startled "Pika!". It never comes on again, but those who go out looking for her will find her on the porch of Minnie's house, sitting on one of the chairs with her head in her hands, that pair of Lucarios and a Pikachu nearby so she isn't alone. She really doesn't look well, either, so their concern is probably warranted.]

[ooc: due to plottings, Lightning spent the night badly poisoned and is now rather freaked out because, well, no idea who did it! :3 My thanks to both Cobra-mun and Kimblee-mun for this plot, it's been fun!]

You, Shinn Asuka, Minnie Mouse, Emmy Altava, Crow Hogan, and two other names he wouldn't give me. I've already warned Minnie, and Emmy said she would warn Crow, but I haven't managed to get ahold of Shinn long enough to warn him.

[And this conversation is warning enough for Athrun...or so she hopes, judging by that sigh she just gave.]

I've also been told that our names are on that list because we pissed someone off, not because the higher-ups in Team Rocket found out about the Corps. It's supposedly a personal vendetta, but I'm not believing that without hard proof.

...Right. I figured that my name would most likely be on there, especially after the terrorist threat on the Game Corner a couple of months ago. Shinn is probably on there for the same reason. I'll talk to him about it the next chance I get.

A personal vendetta does seem like a likely explanation, though. When Shinn and I defused those bombs, the man responsible was quite upset. I wouldn't put revenge past him -- not at all.

Considering he mailed a bomb to someone who wasn't even involved with trying to stop the bombings? I'd be surprised if he tried something that wasn't revenge at this point.

[very surprised. She has her theories about this, and he's at the top of her list of suspects.]/small>

...I heard about that. So that was the same guy. That doesn't surprise me in the least.

Don't worry, I will. I have experience with being hunted, so that gives me an additional edge.

[Lightning nods; she knows exactly what he means, but her experience is buried under two years of new memories and she never thought she'd need it again. Hopefully Athrun has better luck.]

It gives you an edge over the others, at least. I can't say many people know what it's like to be the hunted instead of the hunter.

I think that's as it should be. Most people shouldn't have to experience the ordeal of being a quarry.

You're right about that. It's not something I'd wish on anyone, not even people we know are in Team Rocket. [A distant look has entered her eyes; that experience was clearly not as deeply buried as she expected it to be.]

...Seems like we both have some events in our pasts that keep getting dredged up.

[He's got a bit of a weary look on him as well.]

No, it never does. Some people just don't know how to let the past lie.

...Right. I haven't had that in relation to this particular issue, but it has popped up.
