013 [Video/Action for Goldenrod Pokemon Center]

[It's known to quite a few people that Lightning has been sleeping for a week now. What isn't quite as well known, however, is that her Lucario hasn't left her room no matter which human is at her side. So when the gear clicks on to show Lightning still sound asleep, there's the edge of a black paw on the feed. That pretty much clenches who's recording this.

Recording what, you may ask? Well, just watch the human on the bed as she slowly comes back to the world of Johto. She blinks for a bit, obviously still half asleep, before she slowly raises a hand to her forehead.]

Fal'Cie...

[And, before she can say anything else, Lightning is tackled by her Lucario. Over the happy yips and other noises he's making, the sound of the gear clattering to the ground isn't heard by anyone in the room.]

[Lightning looks over to Leon for a moment, the ache in her chest easing, before she nods and smiles the faintest amount. He's right, after all.]

Yeah. I doubt they would. [She wouldn't, if the situation was reversed. Especially after all they've come through to get this far. Even if she can't be sure if he's including himself in the 'rest' he just mentioned, he's included in hers. Maybe that's why she feels like it'll be okay now. Not that she'll ever admit it.]

[ He sees her begin to relax, and offers her the lemonade. It's not the fizzy kind, at least. ]

Here--drink something.

[ He wouldn't let her go. He knows it, and it...it frightens him, a bit. He's realizing how much he's been opening up in this place, when it isn't home and can't ever become home. It's been so gradual he's hardly noticed it, but the relationships he has now and just takes for granted--Xion, for example, the data Riku, Quistis or Dale Cooper--would the Leon from a year ago have been able to build them? Maybe, but he would never have been looking for them in the first place. ]

[Lightning nearly protests the drink before she reminds herself that the stiffness in her muscles isn't just from what, if anything, carried over from that fight with the Manikins. So she thanks him and easily cracks the can, before she finally catches sight of the window.

Or rather, the snow outside the window. It was hot as Bodhum summer when she last saw the outside, so how the hell is it snowing?]

...Leon, how long was I asleep? [Fal'Cie help her, if she slept through six months---]

[ Woman's been sleeping for a week. She might remember fighting non-stop for days, but her body might say otherwise.

Caught off-guard, Leon follows her gaze and nearly chuckles. Nearly. ]

I said a week, remember? The weather's just being...odd.

[Her body is certainly saying otherwise, and she has to force herself to sip at the lemonade instead of chug it down. There's only so much training can do to override basic instincts.]

When isn't it odd in this place?

[ He watches her tensely sip her drink, extending the pack of nuts to help settle her undoubtedly snarling stomach. ]

Hardly ever. First bugs, then strange weather...and that's not even mentioning the rest of it.

[ He settles back, watching her eat and drink. It feels...strangely satisfying. ] Feel better?

[The nuts do indeed help keep her stomach complacent, and she moves her bangs from her eyes.]

The rest of it that we're lucky to get through in one piece. It was a mess when I first got here.

[But, to his question, she'll look over and nod. Much better, to be exact.]
