[Well. Someone sounds a little angry today, doesn't she? Lightning's not exactly known for her easy-going nature, but she's calmed down a lot here in Johto. Except it doesn't seem that way from the tone of her voice.

But at least the growling isn't her. No, that growling belongs to the Shinx who just happens to be chewing on the gear, keeping the feed in blackness until Spark pulls it free of his mouth and starts a bit of a Pokésquabble. This does let anyone watching see that Lightning has a cloth over her arm and is chasing Odin around, the horse prancing and...yep. Dancing around to avoid her. He seems amused, though, especially after she tosses the cloth over his back. It's a saddle blanket, and it's supposed to stay on, but Odin's not having any of it. Nope, he's just running away so quickly it falls to the ground and leaves Lightning in the dust. Amused horse is amused and...almost laughing.

Yep. A laughing horse. It apparently does happen, but Lightning is most certainly not amused. She's just picking up the saddle blanket and trying again. And again. And again. And each time, Odin just runs away and ditches the blanket, leaving Lightning shaking her head while Shinx and Spark continue to tussle, hitting the gear and ending the feed without her noticing it was even on.]

[About six hours after the video feed, Rise will receive this:]

Just avoid anything too crazy while riding a Rapidash, Pinksis]

Right, rain's pretty bad for Fire-types...

I don't know of any Water-types that'd travel quick when it's just rainy, come to think if it.

[Sorry, he isn't deterred. He just smiles a bit wider.]

As for the too crazy bit...she makes no promises. Who knows what could happen, after all.]

If there are, I haven't seen any. Alexander doesn't get any faster when it rains, though getting him inside gets a lot harder .

[Oh, fal'Cie...why is she getting a bad feeling about this? Possibly because she's getting annoyed or something.]

[Hunting tactics are great...when what you're hunting doesn't jump six feet in the air if he gets enough room. They'll have to move fast. As for Odin, in response to Fang's question he stops, snorting and bobbing his head in a horse-nod as he paws at the ground with a hoof. Yes, he's making Trainer earn it! He won't wear the thing easily! ...or so he hopes, anyway. He knows Lightning's stubborn enough to do it.]

Be careful he doesn't charge you to get away. He'll probably try it any second now.

[And Lightning, trying to break up her squabblers, won't be able to move to stop him in time. Watch your head, Fang.]

[He...understands. He's not happy about it, but he gets it, intellectually, the need to be ready for any eventuality on an individual level. But even though what she's saying is, 'I want to be prepared', what he's hearing is that she doesn't trust him to take care of it, which stings. As soon as he has the thought he realizes it's stupid, but it still leaves a bad taste in his mouth that's probably visible in the very, very slight tightening of his face as he nods.]

[He motions to Flood, who gently releases Odin from the wrap, saddle and all. Leon moves back to watch.]

Probably. Wouldn't be the first time I've had to wait him out, though.

[Stubborn trainer is stubborn.]

[Oh, it's definitely visible. It's visible and it gets Lightning frowning, but she doesn't ask. Things would be so much easier if he'd just vocalize this kind of thing because then she could say something and assure him that she does trust him. Which she does. Implicitly, in fact, but this is something she feels she has to do.

Odin, to his credit, doesn't do anything funny as Lightning mounts up with ease. But against his credit, he also doesn't move. He just stands there and snorts, glancing at Leon as Lightning rubs the bridge of her nose. Ridiculous mate, you are no help at all.]

...It'd be faster if you made him train against the rest of your team, first. Probably.

[Hopefully.]

There's always sitting on her. Or you could glare-- it works on a lot of people!

[Zidane will probably be thanking the Johto gods for that at one point or another.]

[ She's more than happy to duck, well aware that she doesn't have her l'Cie powers to abuse here. ]

I was thinkin' more that he'd hate sparks as much as the rest of us, not trying to keep him away with intimidating balls of fur.

[Oh, yes. He should most definitely do that.]

Talking can help sometimes. And you don't have to be in the same room to talk to someone with the gears.

[Not that it would help with the Rapidash, but someday, perhaps...]

Sitting on her would make her injuries work, and glaring works until she tries to sneak out of her room an hour later. [sigh. She's not kidding, sadly. Easy to tell why Lightning's frustrated, at least.]

[headshake] The only one who can keep up with him is my Haunter, and she'd be less help than he is right now.

Ghost-types do have a way of making everything worse, somehow.
