[Well. Someone sounds a little angry today, doesn't she? Lightning's not exactly known for her easy-going nature, but she's calmed down a lot here in Johto. Except it doesn't seem that way from the tone of her voice.

But at least the growling isn't her. No, that growling belongs to the Shinx who just happens to be chewing on the gear, keeping the feed in blackness until Spark pulls it free of his mouth and starts a bit of a Pokésquabble. This does let anyone watching see that Lightning has a cloth over her arm and is chasing Odin around, the horse prancing and...yep. Dancing around to avoid her. He seems amused, though, especially after she tosses the cloth over his back. It's a saddle blanket, and it's supposed to stay on, but Odin's not having any of it. Nope, he's just running away so quickly it falls to the ground and leaves Lightning in the dust. Amused horse is amused and...almost laughing.

Yep. A laughing horse. It apparently does happen, but Lightning is most certainly not amused. She's just picking up the saddle blanket and trying again. And again. And again. And each time, Odin just runs away and ditches the blanket, leaving Lightning shaking her head while Shinx and Spark continue to tussle, hitting the gear and ending the feed without her noticing it was even on.]

We had something similar, but not many people used it. Most people kept to themselves a lot where I'm from.

Sometimes. Everyone has a different reaction to things.

There should be, but I haven't seen any. Cherrygrove gets as much snow as Blackthorn, as far as I know, and Cherrygrove is a lot warmer than towns further north.

Fair enough. I suppose it's admirable for one to 'retain their shape,' as it were.

[And there's an enthusiastic cheer from Bolt, trailing into the distance. The fact that the sound's traveling gets Ven to look too, stunned that the two appear to be making a break for it]

Wh- Bolt, Odin, get back here-

[get back here? Nope! Sorry, Bolt-trainer, but Odin is just going, and going, and going, and going, and...yep. Still going at a rather hurried pace. Why so hurried? Because Lightning is starting to run after him.]

[And off she's going, too, with a quick look to see if Ven's coming with or not. Cause she can catch Odin, but the Bitty-chu? Perhaps not.]

[Considering that Ven's bitty is part of this renegade pair, he's definitely on the chase too. He can't leave Lightning to do all the running, after all]

What're they thinking?

[Well, that's nice of him. Shame there's a lot running involved in getting their renegades back.]

No idea. He's never done this before.

[Well, he's done it once, but back then he at least listened and stopped when he was asked to! Now he's just going and turning down practically every street he can, leading both trainers on a merry little chase...but they're gaining on him. Thank goodness he's not galloping yet.]

[ You're getting a shake of her head before the feed cuts. You can try to stop her! She has a Gabite with type advantage, dammit- well, she wouldn't go that far. But yeah. Ambling outside and using one of the escape routes she figured out of the Center. ]

Xion--! [she can say nothing else before the feed cuts, but it's obvious she's not happy about this. But it's going to take her time to track Xion down, so enjoy your freedom, young woman! ....You know. If the person Fang the Haunter just popped up behind isn't you.]

Huh. What a shame...sounds like your place needed to be lightened up a little bit.

Cianwood is also subjected to the same weather conditions, even though it's separated from the rest of Johto by the ocean. That should not be the case.

[A sigh.] Cecil, I think we know by now that shouldn't the case happen a lot here. Trying to figure out why is just a waste of time and your energy.

[Shame indeed, but at leat they're the speedsters of their respective groups]

[Which only makes him wonder what's gotten int othose two 'mons. At least they're catching up, Ven's glad for that, since trying to double around and block Odin's path could well result in accidental injuries]

As it is, it's close: Odin nearly makes it back to the main street before Lightning is able to grab the reins and get dragged along a few paces before Odin stops, snort and pawing at the ground. He's still got plenty of energy, but for now, he's stopped.]

Get Bolt, Ven. No telling if he'll take off again.

I tend to let them walk all over me, I admit. Never was good at saying no.

Frankly, I've plenty of time and energy to waste at the moment. I might as well try to make sense of the impossible.
