[Hi, Johto. Hope you don't mind whatever you're doing around noon getting interuppted, because it's going to, by a woman with pink hair. Some of you may recognize her and the boy writing on paper behind her, others may not. It doesn't matter, either way. You'll know them soon enough; some of you better than others. It's hard to make out what Ven's writing, but the papers beside him are covered in Lightning's handwriting. What can be seen of them seems to be some kind of list, though it doesn't say for what it's meant for. No, that would be too easy. Especially since she's going to explain.]

We've got enough to start with. Anyone who's doing something about Team Rocket, get to Goldenrod by next Saturday.

[Or perhaps not explain. Because with that said, she moves to end the feed before something Ven is writing gets her attention and she frowns a bit deeper than normal.]
That's just asking for trouble, Ven.

[He glances up at her when she says that, but she cuts the feed before anything can be said. Sorry, people. No secrets for you guys yet.]

Yeah. It's not like we haven't trained at all since then; they won't get away so easily if they do that kind of thing again.

[...provided there aren't any bombs to deal with. Those aren't so easy to handle.]

[Nodding in agreement, Ven writes some more notes]

Do you think we should sort out a way for less experienced members to get training? It might make things easier.

We probably should. Even the support members need to be able to defend themselves if their squads get separated.

[Which, while she hope doesn't happen, is a possibility. Have to plan for all of them.]

Right...we don't know who they might attack or when. Better to be overprepared than under, dealing with criminals like that.

Especially since we don't know what they're after. If we could figure that out, we might be able to figure out their next target, but without the information...

[Headshake. Without that info, they're all but dead in the water to fight out a cause. Best to be overprepared and strike first.]

[Ven watches his paper thoughtfully for a time, considering that]

When I talked to Minnie, it seemed like one thing they wanted was power. There could be more, but they always prioritize what's strong and rare.

[She leans back in her seat at that, bangs falling into her eyes. Power, huh? Simple goals...]

Yeah, but what do they want it for? Power has to be used for something.

That's the part I'm not too sure about, myself.

[He's certainly pondered it, but there's only so many things one could do with power and they don't have much to go on]

Guess that'll be something to investigate.

[She nods, adding a note to her steadily growing list of them, before she sighs. So little information...they could really use someone on the inside.]

We're going to have our hands full for a while. I hope you didn't have anything planned, Ven.

My schedule's wide open. This is important, so even if I did have plans, I think this'd be a priority.

[After all, in a safer world, they can enjoy themselves a bit more]

Even over Terra showing up again?

[It's an honest question. In a safer world, they'd all be better off. But even with this mess, Johto is...safe enough. And Lightning knows that if Serah or Snow showed up, she wouldn't hesitate to go get them. She thinks Ven is the same, with his family.]

[He does hesitate at that, because he misses Terra and he's family. Even if Terra acted strange and distant last time, Ven'll always adore him]

Well, I would want to go get him, even though he'll probably tell me to stay put like Aqua did.

[Even though he's bigger and older than they remember him]

[Lightning nods at that; family is family and abandoning them isn't something Ven would do. It's just not in his nature.]

Then it's a good thing you're not working alone. Means one of us can leave for a bit and the other can hold down the fort.

[And maybe Ven can prove to Terra and Aqua that he's not exactly the little bb-bro they last saw. Maybe.]

[Indeed, neither of them are wired that way]

Yeah, I'm glad no one's alone here. Hopefully, it makes things a bit easier all around.

[That's something he certainly hopes to achieve, even if they might not be ready for him to not be a baby bro anymore]

[Which is good thing, considering how many sibs they've got.]

It should, so long as we can get everyone to work together. Doesn't mean it's going to be fast, or easy.

[No one is ever ready to see their baby sib grow up, especially when it's happened without them. They'll adjust...with time.]

[A small army, and growing. One big family's what they'll wind up with]

Lots of worthwhile things take time and effort, Master Eraqus taught me that.

[Ven'll hope so. Tough to feel like somebody's let down by something that...should be positive]

[One giant family. The cuddles would be epic.]

He's right about that. The right way isn't always going to seem right because of how hard it is. Doesn't make it any less important.

[Oh, it's positive and it's amazing. But it's still hard to watch someone you care for grow up. Ven may understand that with Sora or Roxas someday.]

[Best darn cuddles in all the worlds]

Yeah...and at least we're able to recognize that it's important. I think that makes a difference, knowing from the start.

[Indeed he may, especially with Sora. Course he'll be proud of him too, out there saving worlds]

[Bestest and longest ever.]

It does. It can make all the difference, knowing what you're doing. Could mean the difference between life and death in some places.

[Not that they can die here, but still.

And they'd all be proud of Sora for that...though Lightning would surely be a bit concerned there's a fifteen year old running about doing it.]

Hopefully it won't be that dire here, but knowledge is definitely power.

[After what Terra told him about his fate, Ven's sure of that much. If only his friend could've known more before it was too late...

But he can't change that.

Lightning really should set the worlds straight, they keep making young kids save the universe over there]

Especially around here. Never know when knowing more tactics than your opponent is going to save you somehow.

[If they'd know...if. If is always the problem. Not a problem they can change, but still an issue.

Just like Lightning's thinking in terms of life and death. It's a habit, sadly. One that probably won't change anytime soon.

And she'll set them straight...even if all she can probably do is yell at stars.]

It's definitely something that'd come in handy. Better to know more than they do rather than less.

[Every little thing makes a difference in their universes, seems like. Maybe all it takes is yelling at stars]

Yeah. That's why I think we need to find a way to find out what Team Rocket is up to. We need to get their plans to be able to beat them to wherever they're going to hit if we're going to stand a chance at first.

[If yelling at stars is all it takes, she'll yell herself hoarse to keep them here and safe. Let the adults in those worlds fix their own problems.]

[He nods along, fully agreeing with all of that]

That'd be the best way to stop them from hurting anybody else... We just have to figure out where to get that kind of information.

[And then those kiddoes would make their new job playing nurse to Pinksis]

We'll have to either get someone working on the inside or steal their plans. It's not going to be easy.

[She'd be happy with them just being there with her; she can take care of herself, really!]
