There was a casualty to the bombing yesterday. A boy named Danny Fenton was mailed a bomb, and Cobra Commander has threatened to take us out for getting in his way. He doesn't know the Corps exists, but be on your guard regardless. Don't handle anything suspicious and avoid traveling alone at all costs until we can deal with him and whoever else he may be working with. Avoid mentioning us in public, as well. We'll need every advantage we can get for as long as we have it.

[Anyone who seeks Lightning out today will find her in her room at the Inn, flitting between a pad of paper on the desk and the bag she's packing. The paper is covered with notes that are easy to read and the bag is smartly packed, so it's a sharp contrast to Lightning who looks a bit...frazzled in comparison to her normal self. Someone seems just a bit out of her element for some reason.]

I think so, yeah. That one'll be easy to remember. [Mostly because it's Serah that's heavily involved; if it was Snow's anniversary with Lebreau...well. That's another story. Little sisters really are magical, especially when they have teasing down to an art form.

And life would be boring, and probably a lot worse, but that doesn't stop Lightning from wishing baby sis would stay out of trouble from time to time.]

[Serah doesn't really mind the stubble all that much, she's kind of gotten used to it. It kind of gives his face character.]

Just checking! [She knew Light wouldn't forget a day that important, but it's always fun to find reasons to tease her about things. Ew... why would Snow marry Lebreau? That's like incest or something. Serah does not approve.]

[That's her, Serah Farron, secret magical girl. Though to be fair she doesn't try to get in trouble all the time, it seems to have this bad habit of finding her.]

So... anything I can do to help that isn't "stay out of trouble"?

[Sure it does. Doesn't mean there has to be so much of it, though. Etro knows it grows back fast enough.

And bbsis should enjoy her chances to tease big sis. They may get less and less frequent over the next few months. Maybe. Even her little sister magic may not help soon enough.]

Just stay close. That helps more than you know.

[She's not going to say it because it's too sappy, but just having Serah around is a balm for her nerves that she treasures so much. Without Serah around...well...let's just say things would get ugly.]

[He can't help it if his face seems to naturally like being fuzzy.]

[She'll do what she can, when she can. Even Serah knows she's not a miracle worker and that there are some things she can only help Light deal with so much.]

There's nowhere else I'd rather be.

[So they'll stay together, because Serah's more than willing to be there for as long as Lightning needs her. If that means forever? Well that's good enough for her.]
