When you've been in this world long enough to see and do everything it has to offer, what's left? How do you spend the rest of your time here when there's nothing left to do?

But then there's not nothing left to do, right? If there's still a way to make yourself useful.

Nothing that makes an actual difference, anyway. It's not like filing paperwork at a Center to pay the rent is going to get anyone home.

But it makes the pokemon happy, right? To have the home that the rent pays for.

They don't care. They're happy to sleep outside even if it's raining or snowing. Most of them can find their own food, too.

[No, the rent is solely for the humans benefit. The roof and purchased goods they can't get by without. It sucks sometimes.]

I don't know about that. Most of mine would hate to be left out in the rain.

Mine don't. Even the fire types don't mind it.
