006 [Accidental Video/Action for Goldenrod]

[The feed opens to a field of white this afternoon. It looks like one of Goldenrods mostly empty streets, with one exception.

The sound of hooves.

Has Santa and his herd of Stantler come early this year? Nope, it's just....ODIN!? He's not so little anymore, that's for sure. If anything, he seems to be tall as Lightning now, with a horn sprouting from his forehead and fire all down his back instead of just his mane and tail.

And speaking of Lightning...if you can see past the camera's gentle bobbing, you'll see she's riding him, attempting to get a feel for how different this is from a Chocobo. No saddle, no reins. Just her and her horse, in the empty streets of Goldenrod.

Up until she notices the Gear is on, though. Have a ghostly laugh, Route. Seems her Gastly got into her things again.]

Oh, give me that. Should name you Fang or something.

[And with that, the feed clicks off. Anyone wants to run into these three? They'll be in the streets for a while.]

[ Rise hasn't budged from watching over Ven, not since they finally got him to the Center. And there isn't much that's going to MAKE her budge (sans someone dragging her out of there), but the sight of a big flaming unicorn's enough to give her pause. ]

Odin?

[Lightning hadn't been able to stay and know she could do nothing, so out she came. Which was why Odin was suddenly so much bigger. Have a whinny in response, Rise. See? His voice is deeper, too!]

Yeah. It happened this morning.

[ Lightning has more sensibility than Rise's got in these situations, really. But she does muster a smile, because it's Odin. ]

He's beautiful.

Oh wow! He's so pretty!

[What she has is a sad deal more of experience with fallen comrades. Though she can't help but chuckle a little at Rise's comment.]

He's something, alright. [Aw, was that a snort from the horse? Yes, because Gastly starts to laugh a moment later.]

[Cue the proud whinny from the horse. He is, and he knows it.]

He's something alright.

[ it's almost like being with Nanako, but at least she woke up every now and then. The fretting, the fretting. ]

He definitely got a lot bigger.

[The fretting which solves nothing, and doesn't make him wake up any sooner. At least like this Lightning won't punch the next nurse who says they don't know what's wrong.]

Nearly twice as big as he was before. Should make getting around a lot easier.

[ Rise's got an idea about it, thanks to talking to Ven before he went all comafied on her, but she's not exactly comforted by it. Nor is she willing to leave him alone.

... As tempting as it is to hug a unicorn right now. ]

That's right, you'll be able to ride him now.

[Which is completely understandable. If it was Hope in there, Lightning wouldn't have left, either.

...and she'll bring him around to the front of the center if Rise steps out for air. She'll get her unicorn hugs yet.]

Been riding him for about an hour now. He hasn't thrown me off yet.

[She will be very impressed to see a Rapidash running around on the screen because it's the first time seeing one. Aerith has seen Ponyta's, but never their evolved form.]

Did you have a Ponyta before?

[Have a proud whinny from Odin before Lightning speaks, Aerith. He is very pleased to be bigger now.]

Yeah. He was too small to ride then. [Now she's just trying to make sure he doesn't throw her.]

[Aerith doesn't blame him for feeling proud because he does look magnificient.]

A Ponyta is like a baby horse, isn't it? It's hard to ride anything so young or small.

[She continues to watch Lightning riding the horse.]

Do you have experience in riding animals?

A toddler might have been able to ride him back then, but no one else.

[She shifts her position to avoid falling, using her legs to get him to turn.]

Some. We had Chocobos back on my world. It's pretty much the same.

[ Pepper will probably drag her out since the Flareon needs to stretch his legs. Priorities and whatnot. ]

I didn't think he would. I mean, you're his trainer.

[The Pokemon know what they're doing, at least.]

You never know. Gastly still sneaks up on me. [Catching her had done nothing against that.]

[She nods her head in agreement about the toddler being able to ride a Ponyta. Aerith continues to watch until a surprise look appears on her face.]

Chocobos? [Blinks a bit.] What do chocobos look like?

[Lightning pauses, looking down at the Gear. How can...oh, right. Different worlds, and Ven didn't know about them, either.]

They're giant yellow birds. The chicks are small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, but the adults are taller than Snow. They were really...gentle, after we proved we weren't going to hurt them.

I think all the ghosts do that. [ god knows Ven's Haunter's given her a few heart attacks. ]

Probably. They seem fond of doing that. [Oh, oh, like this? Since, well, Gastly is reappearing very close behind Lightning's head, tongue outstretched for a licking?]

Light, behind--

[ it's not even panicked or surprised, Rise's just reacting immediately. ]

[Behind--Dammit, Gastly! She goes back into her pokeball, laughing the entire way as Lightning sighs.]

I have got to train her to stop doing that.

[Well, in a way she does know someone who has the same hairstyle as a chocobo's, but they sadly do not exist in Kingdom Hearts Land. Aerith will be impressed by the description.]

Amazing! They really do grow up, don't they? Can they fly too?

[It would be cool to watch giant yellow birds fly around.]
