013 [Video/Action for Goldenrod Pokemon Center]

[It's known to quite a few people that Lightning has been sleeping for a week now. What isn't quite as well known, however, is that her Lucario hasn't left her room no matter which human is at her side. So when the gear clicks on to show Lightning still sound asleep, there's the edge of a black paw on the feed. That pretty much clenches who's recording this.

Recording what, you may ask? Well, just watch the human on the bed as she slowly comes back to the world of Johto. She blinks for a bit, obviously still half asleep, before she slowly raises a hand to her forehead.]

Fal'Cie...

[And, before she can say anything else, Lightning is tackled by her Lucario. Over the happy yips and other noises he's making, the sound of the gear clattering to the ground isn't heard by anyone in the room.]

[ fine, fine, she'll inch back and hop off the bed. But she's hovering, just in case she's needed as support! ]

[Lightning will most likely need that support, but once Rise is off the bed, she swings her legs down to stand up. It's a bit shaky, but she manages that and keeps her balance. It's after her subsequent attempt at taking a step that problems arise.

What kind of problems? Well, her legs are pretty shaky and she has to grab the nightstand to avoid falling. Someone doesn't look pleased with herself at this point.]

Dammit. Didn't think it would be this bad.

H-hey, it's okay-- Ven wasn't much better. [ she's already moving closer to offer Lightning a shoulder. ] Staying so still for so long kinda does that to you.

I know. I should have ben expecting it. [And she had, just...like this. So she'll lean on Rise without protest and try again. She is going to walk out of this room on her own two feet, Fal'Cie be damned.]

[ slipping an arm around her waist to better steady her, even if... she's a lot shorter. ] Aww, you're just eager to get moving again!

[Support, even from a much shorter person, is still support. And it gets Light off the nightstand, so it's much appreciated.]

Yeah. [Wry little smile; one step at a time, Farron.] I spent way too long in bed.

You weren't alone... the entire time.

[In confusion, Lightning will now just..take a look around the room. There are signs that people have been in here for quite some time, but....nothing to tell who it could be.]

Who stayed in here the whole time?

Serah-- and Hope. Leon came by a lot, too.

[Surprised look is slightly surprised. She would have expected Hope and Serah, or even Rise, but Leon? Why would he come by so often?

Still, Lightning has to smile faintly.]

I shouldn't be surprised, should I?

That you're loved? You shouldn't be!

[Sheepish little smile is sheepish. She didn't doubt that she was loved, but rather how much. She's not exactly the easiest person to get along with.]

I guess so.

But gee, it'd be nice if no one else went taking crazy naps anytime soon.

[Nod. It would be, but...] Don't hold your breath. Could happen to anyone at any time.

[Yeeep. She's still a bit pessimistic. But, hey, she's managing to walk much better now.]

I'm staying awake, thanks!

[ really, this is relieving though. ]

It's for the best. You'd worry a lot of people if you fell asleep for that long. [Her included.

Her steps are still slightly shaky, but...yep. That's a lot more weight they're supporting now. She'll be fine.]

Aww, I wouldn't do that to you guys. I mean, going through that with Ven...

[ ... was draining. ]

[Due to the fact that Lightning's arm is still around her shoulders for that last bit of support, Rise's getting a one-armed hug.] You might not have a choice. I don't think any of us get one.

... You know, sometimes I... [ she finally reaches the hallway, leaning into the hug a little. ] I don't really want to go back. I mean, even if my body was here, it'd still feel like it wasn't, so...

So you'd think you were never here. [Soft squeeze for you, Rise. She knows.] But you might forget about this place while you're there. Might make it easier to deal with.

I don't care if it's easier! [ shaking her head fiercely. ] I don't want to forget any of it, even for a second!

[Stern look is stern.] So it's better to be constantly thinking about it and not have focus for what's going on around you? You'll only get killed if you think like that.

It's not like... [ properly chastened, Rise lowers her eyes. ] It's not like that. I just... I'd want to face it, Light. If it hurts, if there's nothing I can do to change it... at least I'd know. I know what I need to do when I go back. And no matter what happens, I will.

[Lightning is quiet for a long moment, but then she nods. She knows what Rise means. If she'd had her memories of this place, of home, she'd have fought that much harder. But that's over now. Now she just gives Rise another one armed hug. She made her point.]

Just be careful. Whatever happens.

[ aww, sis, have a big hug on her end. ]

I will-- I promise. Everyone's still with me, even if I might not remember.
