[Morning, Johto. Enjoy your very early morning wake up call. No, seriously, it's early. The sun's not even up-early. Lightning normally sleeps through this time of day, so why is she on the network? ...Well, she's not exactly on it by choice. Her Pokemon have the gear again, and it's showing that a nurse is trying to stop a very pale and rather shaky Lightning from leaving the Center, but considering she's dressed and with a pair of Lucario's at her side, she's not going to be stopped. At all.]

Miss Farron, if you'll just calm down--

Calm down? I just spent the past six hours puking my guts out while you ran around like headless chocobos trying to fix a problem that shouldn't have happened, and you expect me to calm down? [She scoffs at that, moving to shove past, but the nurse bars her passage yet again.]

Miss Farron, the poison is still affecting your body. If you'd sit down and let us help-

[Now Lightning snarls, and it's still rather intimidating despite looking like she's going to fall at any second.]

Help? Like when you somehow didn't notice someone go into my room in the middle of the night and let this happen? I don't need your help. I can handle this myself.

[The nurse aims to protest again, but Lightning doesn't listen and she goes around, hobbling out of the Center on crutches while not looking back even as the feed shorts out with a startled "Pika!". It never comes on again, but those who go out looking for her will find her on the porch of Minnie's house, sitting on one of the chairs with her head in her hands, that pair of Lucarios and a Pikachu nearby so she isn't alone. She really doesn't look well, either, so their concern is probably warranted.]

[ooc: due to plottings, Lightning spent the night badly poisoned and is now rather freaked out because, well, no idea who did it! :3 My thanks to both Cobra-mun and Kimblee-mun for this plot, it's been fun!]

No. The IV the nurses had me on was poisoned somehow, and I'm not sure if it was an attack or not.

[Hence why she's so spooked. If it was an attack, they left no trace or sign. That's something she didn't think Rocket was capable of.

And pardon her looking like crap, Emmy. She feels it right now and can barely be bothered to keep her voice steady.]

I don't know. They hire anyone who walks in off the streets asking for a job; for all I know, Team Rocket had something to do with this.

[It wouldn't surprise her, really. If anything, if Team Rocket had something to do with it, it only confirms that Kimblee's intel was right and she hates that.]

[[Emmy blinks for a moment, before shaking her head. That's crazy talk.]]

[He's really got to get in the habit of not, the Russian tuning into this ranting and raving still half asleep and barely out of bed, however, he got two things;

It's Lightning.

and she's been poisoned. In hospital.

He is far too tired to use text, or even go anon this time Lightning, he's just... There.]

You need to learn to breath woman- being hysterical makes these things work quicker.

[Safe from a repeat attack, anyway. Fine is an overstatement of things and so is "safe enough", all things considered. The Center was supposed to be safe but it clearly wasn't.]

[Hysterical? He hasn't seen her hysterical yet, and he still won't. She's actually fairly calm...if the shaking of her hands and paleness of her skin can be ignored, anyway.]

I was given an antidote over an hour ago. This is just the remains working their way out of my system.

[Experience colors her tone; this isn't her first trip into Poisoned-land, and it's doubtful it'll be her last.]

[she's up at once, in her frilly pajamas, grabbing the gear and making a run for it.]

Don't bother. I'll meet you at the house.

[The gear captures her back as she walks, one of those aforementioned Lucarios holding it now, and the camera shifts to show Sen's worried face as he whimpers. Lightning's not slowing down at all, either; at this rate, she'll reach the house not long after Minnie's left it.]

[But Minnie will obey, as nervous as she is. She paces the porch, terrified of what has happened to her dear friend.]

[There's no reply, and while that's probably incredibly taxing on Minnie's nerves, it isn't long before Lightning comes into view, still hobbling on those crutches while making her way to the house. It's not a smooth journey by any means, but she makes it and sits on the steps. Still doesn't look too good, to be sure. The walking didn't help with that.]

Didn't need both of us on the streets, Minnie. I'm not sure if this was deliberate or not.

[skdjfdk AHHH SHE WANTS TO HUG YOU BUT KNOWS SHE PROBABLY SHOULDN'T ;_; She sits down next to her, looking her over, nearly crying with worry.]

I-I don't understand.... what happened over there?

[It's for the best, really. A hug at this point would probably get Minnie into a heap of bruises, considering Lightning's that jumpy. As it is, she keeps her eyes closed while she shakes her head.]

I don't know. Not for sure. Everything was fine after you and Serah left, but there was something in my IV tonight. Some kind of poison, I think, and the nurses couldn't tell if someone had put it in there or not. I just know I had to get out of there before anything else happened.

[She has her theories, of course, but...no proof. And she hates that because no proof means no defense. She's having second thoughts about coming back to the house, too.]

... You don't think... Team Rocket is here in Olivine...?

[well technically she already knew it, because, well, Ivan, but surely he had nothing to do with this!]

You want the long or short list of people who would want me out of the picture in some way?

[Her tone is flat, but she soon sighs. Getting mad at Minnie isn't going to solve anything, Farron. Calm down and breathe already.]

They might be. I wouldn't be surprised if they were.

[If she knew Kimblee was in town she'd have answered differently, considering what she knows, but everyone else...well. Hard to say with what little intel she's got.]

This is awful! We could all be in danger! What should we do?

[Since she can't touch she, she wrings her hands in worry.]

Keep calm, for starters. [A pause while she clenches her jaw to avoid any remaining nausea, before she finally opens her eyes again and looks to Minnie.] Panicking isn't going to help. Not while we can still fight back.

[Oops. She ducks her head a little.]

The same way we've always fought here. We have our teams.

[A yip from Sen, over by the door. Of course they have their teams! They're right here!]

We just have to find an opening to hit Team Rocket where it counts before we do anything. We're probably only going to get one shot at this.

Well, I suppose that is better than nothing. From the sounds of things you should be lucky they were competent for that at least.

[This is why he sorts himself out, rather than going to the centres. still, that's not too important now. The only thing that is affirming some very heavy suspicions.]

... Can you think of anything that could have caused it? Bad food, pokémon attack? Rusty IV?

[He's not going to give her anymore, he's pretty sure she can think of plenty of ways this could have happened just as much as he can.]

[She looks down, pressing her hands together, still quite worried.]

I hope we can... Far too many people have been hurt already.

And it's probably only going to get worse. They've gotten smarter, more violent. We need an actual plan, not just being scattered across the region hoping to cut them off. [She scrubs her face with her hands, clearly on edge. It's been a terrible day already.]

... Lightning, why don't you come inside? I still have your room just the way you kept it.

[She doesn't answer for a long moment. She wants to stay, really. It's safe enough here, and her family--or what's left of it--is here. It's comfort and security and good memories all in one house. But it's because of that she shakes her head.]

If this was a deliberate attack, my staying here will only put the rest of you in more danger. I can't do that, even if you can handle yourselves.
