[It's known to quite a few people that Lightning has been sleeping for a week now. What isn't quite as well known, however, is that her Lucario hasn't left her room no matter which human is at her side. So when the gear clicks on to show Lightning still sound asleep, there's the edge of a black paw on the feed. That pretty much clenches who's recording this.

Recording what, you may ask? Well, just watch the human on the bed as she slowly comes back to the world of Johto. She blinks for a bit, obviously still half asleep, before she slowly raises a hand to her forehead.]

Fal'Cie...

[And, before she can say anything else, Lightning is tackled by her Lucario. Over the happy yips and other noises he's making, the sound of the gear clattering to the ground isn't heard by anyone in the room.]

But gee, it'd be nice if no one else went taking crazy naps anytime soon.

[Nod. It would be, but...] Don't hold your breath. Could happen to anyone at any time.

[Yeeep. She's still a bit pessimistic. But, hey, she's managing to walk much better now.]

[ really, this is relieving though. ]

It's for the best. You'd worry a lot of people if you fell asleep for that long. [Her included.

Her steps are still slightly shaky, but...yep. That's a lot more weight they're supporting now. She'll be fine.]

[ ... was draining. ]

[Due to the fact that Lightning's arm is still around her shoulders for that last bit of support, Rise's getting a one-armed hug.] You might not have a choice. I don't think any of us get one.

... You know, sometimes I... [ she finally reaches the hallway, leaning into the hug a little. ] I don't really want to go back. I mean, even if my body was here, it'd still feel like it wasn't, so...

So you'd think you were never here. [Soft squeeze for you, Rise. She knows.] But you might forget about this place while you're there. Might make it easier to deal with.

I don't care if it's easier! [ shaking her head fiercely. ] I don't want to forget any of it, even for a second!

[Stern look is stern.] So it's better to be constantly thinking about it and not have focus for what's going on around you? You'll only get killed if you think like that.

It's not like... [ properly chastened, Rise lowers her eyes. ] It's not like that. I just... I'd want to face it, Light. If it hurts, if there's nothing I can do to change it... at least I'd know. I know what I need to do when I go back. And no matter what happens, I will.

[Lightning is quiet for a long moment, but then she nods. She knows what Rise means. If she'd had her memories of this place, of home, she'd have fought that much harder. But that's over now. Now she just gives Rise another one armed hug. She made her point.]

Just be careful. Whatever happens.

[ aww, sis, have a big hug on her end. ]

I will-- I promise. Everyone's still with me, even if I might not remember.

[Is Lightning clinging again? ..perhaps just a bit.]

Yeah. Sora did say our worlds are connected somehow. Makes sense we all would be, too.

Ven said that, too.

I hope they're right about that. [She doesn't want to forget. Not again. Not after all this.]

He said it's like... even if the head forgets, the heart remembers. You never really lost anything.

[Nod.] It's just out of reach. You won't know it's there, but it still is.

Honestly, when he said that, I just figured it was Ven-logic... you know, it was just some kind of sappy thing to make you feel better. But you get it, right?

Yeah, I get it. [Aaaaand that's a slightly haunted look in her eyes.] It would explain a lot, actually.

We were told that the more we fought, the more memories we'd get back. I couldn't figure out, if we'd lost all our memories, how we'd get them back in the first place. [Headshake. It's over now; get over it, Farron.]

But it makes sense that we'd get them back if we never lost them in the first place.

Seriously? They just-- suppressed your memories so you'd have something to fight for?

I don't know if that was the reason for doing it, but yeah. None of us could remember where we'd come from or who we'd left behind.
