[First the trash and sludge come to life, then the fog keeping anyone from seeing more than five feet in front of their faces rolls in. It would have been enough to drive anyone up the wall, and it certainly did that to Lightning. It was why she'd left the city, trying to get a better vantage point and see just what else they were dealing with.
That was, of course, before the storm hit and turned visibility to less than zero. That was before the gear turns on, showing her face, lips pressed in a tight line as she stands with her back to a tree as the harsh rain plasters her hair and clothes to her skin. She's not happy about this, that's for sure. She didn't turn the gear on by accident, though, because she opens her mouth to say something, but then the screen shakes in time with a low tremor just as she turns, seemingly ready to move somewhere else.
It's not enough of a tremor to knock anything over, but the muddy ground is already slick and Lightning stumbles, gear tumbling from her hand as she curses, trying to regain her balance. She doesn't have a chance to, however, before the very air itself turns a bright blue for what can't be more than half a second, and then the screen goes white with the insanely bright flash of lightning blocking out the camera with the glare and booming roar of thunder covering any sounds but a rumble almost as loud but on a different pitch. It sounds almost like something fell, but...what's out there to fall?
Trees. When the lightning dissipates and the screen returns to normal about a minute later, it's obvious a few trees have fallen over for some reason, most likely a bolt of lightning striking one and making it topple its neighbours. The most obvious one to topple was the one Lightning had been leaning on, so...where is she? Pinned under it. The angle the gear landed at makes it hard to see, but that is most definitely one pink-haired woman pinned hip to shoulder under a decently heavy looking tree, and she's not moving. She doesn't move at all again while the feed continues, even as her Lucario and Haunter force out of their Pokeballs to try and help her, but eventually the rain soaks so deep into her gear that it shorts out, sputtering into static and going dark like a broken TV set.]
[ooc: video/text/audio replies ICly delayed by a few hours. Action for those in the area, and said folks should expect to be ambushed by the Pokemon she had with her as they drag you to help her, but be wary of fallen trees. It is hard to see out there!]

Date: 2012-05-11 03:41 am (UTC)Gosh, you just popped right outta nowhere. But then, you are a ghost...
[He's pretty sure he recognizes this particular Haunter though]
Say, you're one of Light's teammates, right?

Date: 2012-05-11 03:47 am (UTC)You know where she is, right? Is she...is she okay?
[action]
Date: 2012-05-11 03:52 am (UTC)See for yourself, Venbro. She's still pinned under the tree because her Lucario can't lift it and Lightning isn't moving because she's unconscious and half-buried in mud no matter how fast her Haunter digs so...makes sense she didn't answer now, doesn't it?]
[action]
Date: 2012-05-11 03:59 am (UTC)Light-! Lightning, are you okay? [What a stupid question, he realizes, but there's nothing he can do for that. He reaches out, bringing a palm close to her nose to check that she's breathing, relaxing only marginally when he finds she is]
Why does trouble always find you?
[He watches her worriedly for a handful of moments before he picks himself up, looking to Lucario]
I'm not strong like Terra or Riku, but...
[Despite that, he calls out his Dragonair and moves to help try and get that tree off of his friend]
C'mon Aura, let's get Light out of here.
[action]
Date: 2012-05-11 04:17 am (UTC)And no worries, Ven; even if you're not strong like Terra or Riku, you're still helping. With Aura helping out, and doing most of the lifting, the Lucario manages to get the tree off his trainer before he yips at you. You're gonna have to pull her out, Ven! His paws are a little full now!]

Date: 2012-05-11 04:49 am (UTC)Time to phone a friend? Absolutely. Dragging Lightning around in the mud isn't going to make her better]
[action]
Date: 2012-05-11 04:55 am (UTC)Yes, despite the chaos going on all around, he's swooping down on the back of his big ol' Charizard. Sure, he's a fire type, but he's also a lot faster than some of Riku's other Pokémon.
So, yes, before long, he'll be landing right in front of the duo and sliding down from Flare's back.]
Hey, you holding out okay?

Date: 2012-05-11 05:28 am (UTC)[action]
Date: 2012-05-11 06:12 am (UTC)I'm okay, but Light's hurt. She was under a tree when I got here.
[action]
Date: 2012-05-11 07:25 am (UTC)[He sighs, taking a quick look at Flare, who snorts and trudges forward.]
Flare should be able to get us back pretty quickly. He's used to heavy loads.

Date: 2012-05-11 09:16 am (UTC)[So Ven'll...carefully try and get up without letting Lightning drop. If only they weren't the same size]

Date: 2012-05-12 12:28 am (UTC)[action]
Date: 2012-05-13 04:21 am (UTC)Light'll be okay, she's strong.
[He only wishes misfortune didn't seem to find her particularly alluring]
[action]
Date: 2012-05-15 12:56 pm (UTC)What was that you were wishing about misfortune not finding Lightning so often, Ven? It may be time to start wishing on stars now. She'll be in the Center for some time after this, though the nurse is willing to lead them to Lightning's room if they want to stay for a little while. She could probably use the company, after all.]
[action]
Date: 2012-05-16 04:10 am (UTC)After mulling it over, he turns his attention to Ven.]
It's a good thing you called me, Ven. I don't want to think of what'd happen otherwise.
[Because things could've gotten worse.]
[action]
Date: 2012-05-18 07:42 pm (UTC)He just hopes she doesn't forget anything important like he did]
Yeah, I'm glad you were around. I didn't know how bad Light was hurt...
[action]
Date: 2012-05-19 06:45 am (UTC)She's awake, if you'd like to see her. Just be sure and let her rest if she falls asleep; she'll need quite some time to recover from this.
