[First the trash and sludge come to life, then the fog keeping anyone from seeing more than five feet in front of their faces rolls in. It would have been enough to drive anyone up the wall, and it certainly did that to Lightning. It was why she'd left the city, trying to get a better vantage point and see just what else they were dealing with.
That was, of course, before the storm hit and turned visibility to less than zero. That was before the gear turns on, showing her face, lips pressed in a tight line as she stands with her back to a tree as the harsh rain plasters her hair and clothes to her skin. She's not happy about this, that's for sure. She didn't turn the gear on by accident, though, because she opens her mouth to say something, but then the screen shakes in time with a low tremor just as she turns, seemingly ready to move somewhere else.
It's not enough of a tremor to knock anything over, but the muddy ground is already slick and Lightning stumbles, gear tumbling from her hand as she curses, trying to regain her balance. She doesn't have a chance to, however, before the very air itself turns a bright blue for what can't be more than half a second, and then the screen goes white with the insanely bright flash of lightning blocking out the camera with the glare and booming roar of thunder covering any sounds but a rumble almost as loud but on a different pitch. It sounds almost like something fell, but...what's out there to fall?
Trees. When the lightning dissipates and the screen returns to normal about a minute later, it's obvious a few trees have fallen over for some reason, most likely a bolt of lightning striking one and making it topple its neighbours. The most obvious one to topple was the one Lightning had been leaning on, so...where is she? Pinned under it. The angle the gear landed at makes it hard to see, but that is most definitely one pink-haired woman pinned hip to shoulder under a decently heavy looking tree, and she's not moving. She doesn't move at all again while the feed continues, even as her Lucario and Haunter force out of their Pokeballs to try and help her, but eventually the rain soaks so deep into her gear that it shorts out, sputtering into static and going dark like a broken TV set.]
[ooc: video/text/audio replies ICly delayed by a few hours. Action for those in the area, and said folks should expect to be ambushed by the Pokemon she had with her as they drag you to help her, but be wary of fallen trees. It is hard to see out there!]

Date: 2012-05-15 07:02 pm (UTC)Lightning-san! Lightning-san!
Date: 2012-05-16 02:06 am (UTC)Hikaru?
[Okay, so it's more of a croak and Lightning looks like death warmed over, but at least she's alive, right? That has to count for something.]
Date: 2012-05-20 02:01 am (UTC)It's me.
[ And her still very present, very significant amount of worry writes itself very plainly across her face now. She's more than a little concerned. ]
How are you feeling, Lightning-san? Are you at a Center now?
[video --> text]
Date: 2012-05-20 02:56 am (UTC)Yeah, I'm in the Olivine Center. Going to be here for a while, too.
[Weeks, at least. Maybe longer than a month..hard to say.]
Date: 2012-05-20 03:36 am (UTC)Olivine is pretty far... how long is a while? You aren't there alone, are you?
[ Someone had to bring Lightning to the Pokémon Center, right? She hopes that someone is still there with her. ]
[text]
Date: 2012-05-20 03:44 am (UTC)[She'll go crazy by then, that's for sure. But the other question has a better answer.]
Ven and Hope are here, along with my sister. I'm not alone.
Date: 2012-05-27 08:58 pm (UTC)[ Or Fuu was here and she could use hers, but things don't work that way in Johto. The answer she receives to her other question earns visible relief. ]
Good. It would be sad to be all alone while you're recovering. I'm glad they're there for you.
[text]
Date: 2012-05-28 03:44 am (UTC)[Because three weeks in a hospital bed is long enough. Any longer, if she can do all basic functions on her own? Yeah, no, she's not that patient yet. Also, she can see that relief, Hikaru. You were that worried, huh?]
They've been here a while. I'll be fine.
Date: 2012-05-28 07:04 pm (UTC)[ With as much energy as Hikaru has, she can understand not wanting to be stuck in a single room for weeks on end. Of course, she'd have three brothers insisting upon it, but still. ]
Okay. You'll keep in touch, right?
Date: 2012-05-29 04:23 am (UTC)[Lightning has her sister, Hope, Ven, Leon, and everyone else insisting, but...well. She won't let them keep her in one place. Not when she's not fond of hospitals.]
Yeah. You too, okay? Try to not disappear on us again, all right?
Date: 2012-05-29 09:07 pm (UTC)[ Hikaru is still a little worried and it shows in that short little response, but she knows Ven and Hope will look out for Lightning. She nods once, twice with some enthusiasm, her expression brightening considerably as she laughs. ]
I will. I'll try not to disappear again, Lightning-san. Promise!
[text]
Date: 2012-05-30 04:06 am (UTC)I'll hold you to that. We've had enough people vanish without warning over the past year.
Date: 2012-05-31 03:45 am (UTC)I'm not ready to leave yet. I want to spend as much time with you and everyone else as I can while we're here together.
[ Because that's what being in Johto is. It's an opportunity to spend time with old friends and make new ones, people she probably won't be able to see once she's sent back home. It's an adventure with her friends and she's eager to share it. ]
