[First the trash and sludge come to life, then the fog keeping anyone from seeing more than five feet in front of their faces rolls in. It would have been enough to drive anyone up the wall, and it certainly did that to Lightning. It was why she'd left the city, trying to get a better vantage point and see just what else they were dealing with.
That was, of course, before the storm hit and turned visibility to less than zero. That was before the gear turns on, showing her face, lips pressed in a tight line as she stands with her back to a tree as the harsh rain plasters her hair and clothes to her skin. She's not happy about this, that's for sure. She didn't turn the gear on by accident, though, because she opens her mouth to say something, but then the screen shakes in time with a low tremor just as she turns, seemingly ready to move somewhere else.
It's not enough of a tremor to knock anything over, but the muddy ground is already slick and Lightning stumbles, gear tumbling from her hand as she curses, trying to regain her balance. She doesn't have a chance to, however, before the very air itself turns a bright blue for what can't be more than half a second, and then the screen goes white with the insanely bright flash of lightning blocking out the camera with the glare and booming roar of thunder covering any sounds but a rumble almost as loud but on a different pitch. It sounds almost like something fell, but...what's out there to fall?
Trees. When the lightning dissipates and the screen returns to normal about a minute later, it's obvious a few trees have fallen over for some reason, most likely a bolt of lightning striking one and making it topple its neighbours. The most obvious one to topple was the one Lightning had been leaning on, so...where is she? Pinned under it. The angle the gear landed at makes it hard to see, but that is most definitely one pink-haired woman pinned hip to shoulder under a decently heavy looking tree, and she's not moving. She doesn't move at all again while the feed continues, even as her Lucario and Haunter force out of their Pokeballs to try and help her, but eventually the rain soaks so deep into her gear that it shorts out, sputtering into static and going dark like a broken TV set.]
[ooc: video/text/audio replies ICly delayed by a few hours. Action for those in the area, and said folks should expect to be ambushed by the Pokemon she had with her as they drag you to help her, but be wary of fallen trees. It is hard to see out there!]

Date: 2012-05-21 04:37 am (UTC)Not even if it was all sunshine and rainbows.
[Stern face is a go., now big a good big sister and do as you're told.]
[At the boom of thunder overhead Serah flinches a little, after what happened to her sister it's going to be a little while before she's completely comfortable during a thunderstorm again.]
I haven't heard anything, but I hadn't really thought to check either.
[Serah's been too focused on Lightning to really worry about everyone else.]

Date: 2012-05-21 05:28 am (UTC)You'd have heard if there was anyone else here because of it. The nurses aren't quiet.
[To be fair, though, if their positions were reversed and it had been Serah under that tree? The world could have ended and Lightning wouldn't have noticed.]

Date: 2012-05-26 07:47 am (UTC)[The hand is warm and familiar and when the next boom of thunder she doesn't flinch, simply squeezes Lightning's hand instead. Nothing to worry about, they'd be okay. Right, nothing to it.]
I'm glad everyone else is okay.
[Now if only Lightning had been okay too.]
[Everything is always over nine thousand times worse when it's the younger sibling, proven fact.]
[Action]
Date: 2012-05-26 11:21 am (UTC)Nothing to it at all. Just like old times, when they were kids and they clung to each other in bad storms. ...OKay so the clinging is a bit different but Lightning is definitely squeezing Serah's hand in return. It's a weaker squeeze, given that she looks and feels like death warmed over, but it's there.]
Tell me about it. No one should be out in this.
[Lightning will be fine. ...Once she sleeps for a week straight. Which she might do sooner or later, being that she's kind of sort of falling asleep right now. But it's just sleep, so bbsis doesn't have to worry more.]
[Action]
Date: 2012-05-26 06:05 pm (UTC)[Lightning's always been there to keep her steady, it's something Serah will always appreciate no matter what else life throws at them. She squeezes once more, lightly, and then let's go.]
That's right. Now get some sleep, I'll be here when you wake up.
[Because she has no intention of leaving anytime soon, nope. That chair has her name on it. It's her place.]
[Action]
Date: 2012-05-27 05:17 am (UTC)Normally Lightning would protest the idea of sleeping when Serah is obviously still worried, but right now...well. Right now she wouldn't protest much of anything, and instead she just settles in. More tired than she first thought, that's for sure.]
Wake me up if you need anything.
[Big sis just needs a nap, that's all. She can make due with a couple hours, no more. Don't hesitate to wake her, bbsis.]

Date: 2012-05-27 10:13 pm (UTC)I'll be fine, you just get some sleep.
[She'd intended to sit in her chair, but Snow was very persuasive so she ended up curled with her espeon on the floor. Nothing weird about that, right?]
