[Morning, Johto. Enjoy your very early morning wake up call. No, seriously, it's early. The sun's not even up-early. Lightning normally sleeps through this time of day, so why is she on the network? ...Well, she's not exactly on it by choice. Her Pokemon have the gear again, and it's showing that a nurse is trying to stop a very pale and rather shaky Lightning from leaving the Center, but considering she's dressed and with a pair of Lucario's at her side, she's not going to be stopped. At all.]

Miss Farron, if you'll just calm down--

Calm down? I just spent the past six hours puking my guts out while you ran around like headless chocobos trying to fix a problem that shouldn't have happened, and you expect me to calm down? [She scoffs at that, moving to shove past, but the nurse bars her passage yet again.]

Miss Farron, the poison is still affecting your body. If you'd sit down and let us help-

[Now Lightning snarls, and it's still rather intimidating despite looking like she's going to fall at any second.]

Help? Like when you somehow didn't notice someone go into my room in the middle of the night and let this happen? I don't need your help. I can handle this myself.

[The nurse aims to protest again, but Lightning doesn't listen and she goes around, hobbling out of the Center on crutches while not looking back even as the feed shorts out with a startled "Pika!". It never comes on again, but those who go out looking for her will find her on the porch of Minnie's house, sitting on one of the chairs with her head in her hands, that pair of Lucarios and a Pikachu nearby so she isn't alone. She really doesn't look well, either, so their concern is probably warranted.]

[ooc: due to plottings, Lightning spent the night badly poisoned and is now rather freaked out because, well, no idea who did it! :3 My thanks to both Cobra-mun and Kimblee-mun for this plot, it's been fun!]

[Chauvinistic? The thought did cross her mind, no matter how much of a point he has. She could have been a lot more cautious, especially knowing what Team Rocket is capable of, but she'd never expected it. This place has made her soft.]

You say smart, I say stupid. If they knew that much about my whereabouts, then they also knew I've had people in and out of that room for the past month, and that I have my team with me at all times. It would take someone desperate to try and get past that to attack only one person.

I still say intelligent. Desperation can make a man smart is true, but I do not think that was the case here. Far from it.

Think about this woman- with all that security, they still got you. Not only did they get you, they did it without anyone even knowing, and still not knowing how and who.

Now think about this, while we are on the tangent of it. You are in some sort of danger, or malicious intent. I would imagine, because of this, your friends are also targets- if you 'storm' out now and are gotten by this saboteur, what will happen?

Your friends will come for you, and then they will be punished also, for your idiocy.

You can not die here woman and if they wanted to do more to you, then by whatever power above they would have- is no harder to slip sedative or relaxant into you than it is poison.

Whoever did this has made their point. They scared you, you are proving that, they are sated for now.

Do not walk straight into another opportunity that they can not turn away from, simply because you want to think you are smarter than they are.

[His face stops being quite so stony, instead turning to something else- it's a mix of emotions, but anger certainly is the main contender.]

And if you do, and someone I care about is injured because of you, I promise you poisoning will seem peaceful compared to what I will do to you.

[Throughout that little 'lecture', the look on Lightning's face gets flatter and flatter, until a straight line could be drawn across her lips without crossing anything. She knows all this, dammit. She's spooked, not stupid. This'll pass in a few hours.]

And what makes you think I'd be that stupid and charge off headlong without a single valid idea of who attacked me or what I'd be dealing with by going after them? I'm not stupid enough to put the people I care about at risk like that.

I notice you are barging past nurses and not recuperating in a bid to strengthen and steel yourself against any attempts should any more be made on your person.

Oh, and the stupidity idea? I beg to differ- I would have to be a fool not to notice someone who is already on the verge of running headlong into danger because of you.

[Because Minne, though caring to a fault, is not discreet, especially when she's panicking.]

What I am doing is getting out of the Center before whoever did this comes back to finish the job. I can recuperate somewhere safer, where I won't be found.

[That second comment, however, gets her attention. Someone's already--shit. It's got to be Minnie or Serah; those two never could keep a cool head when someone they cared about was in danger.]

And what, exactly, do you expect me to do about it when I'm nowhere nearby that person? I don't have any power over what they do on their own, even if I wanted it.

They got you. They can do nothing else. I doubt they will be back- is not as if you are reacting to this with poise and grace, hmm?

Get over yourself, and your fight and/or flee reflex and the fuck back to bed. This spectacle is only doing your attacker any good.

If you're that worried and you're close enough to notice them in a panic, you do something about it. Running on a broken ankle's just going to make them worry more.

[Still a very flat tone, but in a way...she's grateful to him. The anger she feels towards him for talking to her in that way is definitely calming the rest of her nerves....which may have been his intention, for all she knows.]
