I said get out of the way!
[Morning, Johto. Enjoy your very early morning wake up call. No, seriously, it's early. The sun's not even up-early. Lightning normally sleeps through this time of day, so why is she on the network? ...Well, she's not exactly on it by choice. Her Pokemon have the gear again, and it's showing that a nurse is trying to stop a very pale and rather shaky Lightning from leaving the Center, but considering she's dressed and with a pair of Lucario's at her side, she's not going to be stopped. At all.]
Miss Farron, if you'll just calm down--
Calm down? I just spent the past six hours puking my guts out while you ran around like headless chocobos trying to fix a problem that shouldn't have happened, and you expect me to calm down? [She scoffs at that, moving to shove past, but the nurse bars her passage yet again.]
Miss Farron, the poison is still affecting your body. If you'd sit down and let us help-
[Now Lightning snarls, and it's still rather intimidating despite looking like she's going to fall at any second.]
Help? Like when you somehow didn't notice someone go into my room in the middle of the night and let this happen? I don't need your help. I can handle this myself.
[The nurse aims to protest again, but Lightning doesn't listen and she goes around, hobbling out of the Center on crutches while not looking back even as the feed shorts out with a startled "Pika!". It never comes on again, but those who go out looking for her will find her on the porch of Minnie's house, sitting on one of the chairs with her head in her hands, that pair of Lucarios and a Pikachu nearby so she isn't alone. She really doesn't look well, either, so their concern is probably warranted.]
[ooc: due to plottings, Lightning spent the night badly poisoned and is now rather freaked out because, well, no idea who did it! :3 My thanks to both Cobra-mun and Kimblee-mun for this plot, it's been fun!]

Date: 2012-06-13 01:31 pm (UTC)I'm so stupid; I didn't think it was that serious. To think they'd go so far....! Perhaps you're right. I'll try to lay low and stay off the network for a little while.
[[Because what else can she do? They almost got Lightning; thank goodness they didn't!]]
As long as you're going to be okay.

Date: 2012-06-13 02:07 pm (UTC)I'll be contacting the Corps to let them know about the list soon. In the meantime, try and get in touch with Kimblee, once you're sure you're safe. Find out if he knew about this somehow, and if he did, why he didn't warn us about it.
[There's that distrust again, though it's probably warranted at this point. Sure, she lied to him, but you'd think if he was trying to earn her trust, he'd have warned her about the attempt on her life had he known.]

Provided we can ensure the other people on that list remain vigilant, I think we should be okay. I'm seeing Isaac McDougal very soon, so I can warn him.
We won't let them win!

Date: 2012-06-14 06:51 am (UTC)Let me know what you find out. We need every advantage we can get if we're going to beat them at their own game. Just be careful, alright? Don't take any risks if you can avoid them.
[Because it isn't as if they have many other options. Either they get ahead or they get trampled, and that...wouldn't be good.]

Date: 2012-06-14 08:01 am (UTC)I'll do my best, but I guess in this sort of situation, risks can't be avoided!
[[Which is depressing, really, but they'll have to take risks if they want to have a chance at stopping those who are making things risky.]]
You focus on getting your strength back so you can show them that it takes more than some cowardly, underhanded tricks to stop you!

Date: 2012-06-15 03:20 am (UTC)No, you're right about that. But that doesn't mean you have to stick your neck out at every opportunity.
[It was more of the "don't charge in front of a rolling Golem" kind of risk she's hoping Emmy avoids, really, but if there's no choice there's no choice. Wouldn't be the first time and it won't be the last.]
I'll be fine by tomorrow. This just caught me off-guard.
