[Morning, Johto. Enjoy your very early morning wake up call. No, seriously, it's early. The sun's not even up-early. Lightning normally sleeps through this time of day, so why is she on the network? ...Well, she's not exactly on it by choice. Her Pokemon have the gear again, and it's showing that a nurse is trying to stop a very pale and rather shaky Lightning from leaving the Center, but considering she's dressed and with a pair of Lucario's at her side, she's not going to be stopped. At all.]

Miss Farron, if you'll just calm down--

Calm down? I just spent the past six hours puking my guts out while you ran around like headless chocobos trying to fix a problem that shouldn't have happened, and you expect me to calm down? [She scoffs at that, moving to shove past, but the nurse bars her passage yet again.]

Miss Farron, the poison is still affecting your body. If you'd sit down and let us help-

[Now Lightning snarls, and it's still rather intimidating despite looking like she's going to fall at any second.]

Help? Like when you somehow didn't notice someone go into my room in the middle of the night and let this happen? I don't need your help. I can handle this myself.

[The nurse aims to protest again, but Lightning doesn't listen and she goes around, hobbling out of the Center on crutches while not looking back even as the feed shorts out with a startled "Pika!". It never comes on again, but those who go out looking for her will find her on the porch of Minnie's house, sitting on one of the chairs with her head in her hands, that pair of Lucarios and a Pikachu nearby so she isn't alone. She really doesn't look well, either, so their concern is probably warranted.]

[ooc: due to plottings, Lightning spent the night badly poisoned and is now rather freaked out because, well, no idea who did it! :3 My thanks to both Cobra-mun and Kimblee-mun for this plot, it's been fun!]

[ Asking but voicing it on purpose, yes. And she'll try? NEVER. ]

Not for sure. The nurses only know it was created by some kind of Pokemon, but it's...stronger than the last time I had to deal with that here.

[Much much stronger. It really sucked this time.]

You were attacked before? Was this recent?

[She shakes her, but regrets that motion a moment later as she turns a shade paler and needs to stop, which allows Sen to catch up and the feel to show that Lightning's face is rather drawn. Trying not to puke, she is. Still, the feeling passes and she takes a breath before speaking.]

No. It was over a year ago: I let my guard down and got attacked by a wild Pokemon. It wasn't anywhere near as bad as this was.

And this wasn't... caused by a Pokemon?

[ That doesn't look good. Oh, if only they weren't so distanced. ]

No. It was put into my IV; the medicine the nurses had me on so I wouldn't get sick. This was done by a person, using the poison from a Pokemon.

[sigh.]

At least, that's the only thing I can think of it being. None of my team woke up, and they would have reacted if a Pokemon came into my room.

[Or so she hopes. And it looks worse than it actually is, really! ...Maybe.]

Would your Pokemon have reacted to someone they didn't know, either?

[ Trying to piece together this mystery... It just sounds so off. She'd know if she let some of her own Pokemon, they were mostly rather attentive. ]

They would have. They've been protective since the storm hit a few weeks back.

[Granted they were pretty much sound asleep so it's a low chance they'd have actually noticed, but that is the truth. They should have reacted to someone they didn't know.]

So it's someone they all of you knew...

I doubt that. Everyone I know is either asleep or out of the city right now, same as they would have been six hours ago. It would have had to have been someone working in the Center. They never paid much attention to the Center's staff after the first few days.

[Which, while narrowing the list down considerably, also brings about a much graver question: if they can get her there, where can she go that's safe?]

Then... who else would want to try and poison you, Lightning?

[That gets Lightning to stop moving. Who? She knows exactly who and she needs to start warning people. It's obvious now that they're not fooling around anymore, which is why she'll be taking the gear from Sen and slamming up a filter before finally sitting down on a nearby bench. Going to want to be sitting down for this.]

Team Rocket. They have a hitlist of people they want taken out, and my name's on it. I've been told that I'm a high-priority target, and considering that none of the other people on that list have been attacked yet, I'm inclined to believe it.

[ She notices the filter before quickly registering Lightning's next words. It makes her frown in worry and anger, but she's, at least, relieved to see Lightning finally settling down for now. ]

A hit list? Who else was on it?

Athrun Zala, Shinn Asuka, Emmy Altava, Minnie Mouse, and a man named Crow Hagan. As far as I know, everyone's been warned already, but...[She shakes her head, closing her eyes for a long moment.]

Being warned doesn't mean anything after this. I didn't expect to be attacked in the Center, and I knew they'd come for me at some point.

We only know two names for sure; Cobra Commander and Solf Kimblee. I've met with Kimblee, and he's the one who told me about the others on that list, but I don't trust him.

[Not after that day, anyway. Guys who storm out on her aren't trusted folk.]

So either of those two could have done it? Hmm. How long ago has it been since you said you met with Kimblee?

I doubt Cobra did it himself. He's impossible to miss, and my team would have definitely noticed if he came into the room. [Frown. As for the rest...] It's been over a month since I last saw Kimblee face to face. I'm not sure where he is now.

Then it could be anyone... When you get better, Lightning, will you move to a different location?

[Nod.] That's the plan. The less time I spend here, the better.

[But, of course, charging off on a still busted ankle will only make her an easy target. Can't have that, either.]

I can do that better when I know for sure that I'm safe. It's not easy to heal when you're under constant threat, you know.

Not yet, but that doesn't mean the threat isn't there. For all I know, the person who did this is still in town and wants to finish me off properly. I don't have the time to sit around and wait.

[Hence why she's getting up despite Sen's whimpering. Trainer why are you so stubborn!?]
